Fourteen-day Vietnam military tours of the major sites of operations and actions during the Vietnam War, tailor-made for Vietnam veterans of America
This is an example of our Vietnam military tours that cover the entire area of battle field Vietnam. However, many Vietnam veterans of America and their relatives prefer to focus on specific battle sites, such as Khe Sanh. Whatever you choose, the locations, duration, itinerary and any other elements of our veteran tours of Vietnam can be customised to suit your personal preferences |

Veteran tours of Vietnam - features
Vietnam veterans of America are always welcome in our country. For our Vietnam military tours, we recognise the importance of understanding the significance of the operations that took place during the war.
We value in-depth knowledge of the various areas of operations, such as Khe Sanh, so we use specialist English-speaking local guides for each area you wish to visit. Wherever feasible, we endeavour to locate Vietnamese veterans and civilians with first-hand knowledge of relevant wartime events. |
Our Vietnam military tours start from Hanoi or Ho Chi Minh City with ....
... a transfer from the airport, time to relax, a "Welcome" dinner and, if jet lag allows, a good night's sleep.
Escort/guide: transfer to hotel and evening
Meals: one dinner
A flight to Hue and a half-day for orientation
Your morning will be free to rest or wander around Hanoi. Arriving in Danang in the early afternoon leaves you with time to visit a few familiar locations such as the Song Tra Peninsula (Monkey Mountain, now a National Park), the Marble Mountains and My Khe Beach
Guide: transfers to and from the airport, the afternoon
Meals: three breakfasts, three lunches and one dinner
Four days visiting war sites in Quang Nam
One day concentrates on conveniently located sites to the south and west of Danang. We'll suggest several locations in the detailed itinerary we send you, but you're at liberty to choose where you want to visit. The same applies to all the operational areas featured in this tour.
The next three days will be based further south in the Tam Ky area, and particularly upon the Chu Lai and Que Son areas.
Your mode of transport will be the back of a motorcycle driven by a reliable driver - many sites are not accessible by road.
Guide: four days
Meals: four breakfasts and four lunches
A free day in Danang, a journey north and a day and a half in Hue
The route to Hue takes you north over the Hai Van Pass - the panoramic views make a pause for photographs essential. You'll arrive with time to visit the Imperial Citadel of Hue and the Dong Ba market.
The following day provides time to visit the battle sites in and around the city, a free afternoon and an evening meal in one of Hue's 'garden houses'. The householder will prepare, cook and serve your meal, and also initiate you into the complexities of Hue cuisine.
Guide: one and a half days
Meals: three breakfasts, two lunches and one dinner
Two days visiting the DMZ
A journey north takes you to Quang Tri province and Dong Ha town, where you'll spend the night. These two days take in many famous battle sites with names etched deeply into the annals of history - La Vang church, the Rock pile, Khe Sanh, and many more - before returning to Hue.
Guide: two days
Meals: two breakfasts, two lunches and one dinner
The A Shau Valley area and your departure: two days in all
The many operations in western Thua Thien province emphasises the strategic importance of the A Shau valley supply route to both protagonists. You'll visit the main sites and return to Hue for your last night before your flight to either Hanoi or Ho Chi Minh City.
Guide: one day
Meals: two breakfasts and one lunch
