Rex Hotel***

Our brief comments:
The 8-storey Rex Hotel Vung Tau opened in 1972 when institutional 'block' hotels were de rigeur and is showing its age, especially in its public areas such as the reception area and stairwells. Nevertheless, it commands an excellent sea view from its beachfront location, and has a good swimming pool set in attractive gardens.

Standard and Deluxe rooms are below average size and differentiated only by the level of room facilities. Furniture is basic. Suites consist of two large rooms with rattan furniture and a separate bathroom and shower (oddly, the shower is off the sitting room instead of the bedroom)
