The Marco Polo Omni Saigon Hotel*****
Our brief comments:
 The eight-storey Omni is located midway along a main road between the city centre and the airport, about a 15-minute drive either way. As the name announces, it's a member of the world-wide Marco Polo chain of hotels
The entrance to the hotel is very impressive - a clean Colonial-style design. The lobby is spacious - the wide staircase sweeping up to a mezzanine floor is a touch of grandeur.
Standard and Deluxe rooms are well-equipped and spacious, averaging 30m2. The Suites are progressively larger both in area and number of extra facilities ranging from a fax in the Junior Suite to the Continental Suite's fax machine, flat-screen T. V., stereo hi-fi, video, double bay living area with separate dining area, pantry, large four-poster bed and spacious bathroom with separate shower!
There is also an Executive Apartment with a deluxe bedroom, separate living room and kitchenette which might be of interest to a long-stay customer.
 All rooms are equipped with broadband Internet connection.
The main restaurant, the Café Saigon is located on the ground level adjacent to the lobby and offers a la carte Asian and international cuisine.
The Lotus Court Restaurant serves Cantonese cuisine prepared by chefs from Hong Kong. The Nishimura Japanese Restaurant has been recently renovated in a traditional country style setting and specialises in Sushi and Teppanyaki.
 OJ's is a Californian-inspired café serving fresh juice blends, coffee and tea, healthy & snacks, home-made ice cream and sorbets and freshly baked breads, cakes and pastries.
There's also a pool Sundeck where light snacks and refreshments are served, and, somewhat discordantly, 'Mulligan's Irish Pub' offering "hearty pub grub and golf inspired menu", whatever that might be!
