Coco Beach Resort Hotel****

Our brief comments: Mui Ne beach is 18km of white sand
The Coco Beach is an up-market beach resort 12 km east of Phan Thiet Town. It's run a by European couple called Daniel and Jutta who have created a comfortable, laid-back ambiance with friendly, informal service.

Accommodation is in well-built individual thatched roof wooden chalets set in a lush tropical garden. They are solidly constructed with vertical planked walls, floorboards, and an open roof void.

Both categories are spacious with a roomy seating area and an en-suite bathroom for each bedroom . Bungalows have a shower only, Villas have a bathtub as well.

Villas also have a common living room. Both categories have a private terrace, but the Villa'sOne of the three beachfront villas terraces are larger than those of the bungalows.

Villas are particularly suitable for family and small group friendship holidays.

All Bungalows and Villas are equipped with mosquito nets, air conditioning, mini bar, bathroom amenities, and an IDD telephone, but there are no televisions in the rooms.

Twin-bedded bungalowThe pool is in the centre of the garden surrounded by manicured lawns, sunshades and sun loungers designed with congeniality and informality in mind.

The children's pool is safe and within easy reach. There are thatched sun shelters on the beach and a 'rotunda' for body massage.

The resort has two restaurants. The Champa overlooks the garden and fine French restaurant with a very good wine list. The resort's swimming poolIt opens only for dinner, and not at all on Mondays.

A new venture is the 'Dany's Pub', a bar with a sports theme, large screen TV, draught beer and the usual range or games and pastimes.

The Paradise Beach Club is a classic beach restaurant specialising in barbeques, cool beer and a stunning view of Mui Ne Bay.

Following the resort's annual upgrading, the Coco Beach now offers wireless connection throughout the site.

The Coco beach lacks the sophistication and facilities of conventional luxury resorts but its exclusiveness, informality, comfort and good food more than compensates.

If you want a peaceful relaxing holiday on one of the beast beaches in Vietnam, you'll find it hard to beat.
