Our brief comments:
The five-storey Li Lai is a new hotel located in the centre of Mong Cai city, overlooking the Ka Long River. It's a large imposing building set among ornamental gardens and ponds.

Around 340km from Hanoi, Mong Cai is a border gate to China, and can be reached in approximately five hours by a combination of road to Ha Long, hydrofoil to Tra Co Island, and an 8km shuttle bus journey to the hotel.
