Our brief comments:
The Huu Nghi Hotel is ambitiously designated as a four star international hotel - we would regard it as a mid-range Vietnamese style establishment. Located in the heart of Haiphong's commercial centre, it's a large unattractive building with eleven floors in two wings.

The style of the interior is typical modern Vietnamese - a pastiche of Italianate design. The 127 rooms are unimaginatively furnished. The frilly curtains and pelmets are considered very elegant in Vietnam.

The hotel has three restaurants, two in the East Wing (European and Asian cuisines) and one in the West Wing (traditional Vietnamese dishes). There is a bar in each wing.
