Harbour View Hotel****

Our brief comments:
Despite its size, the Harbour View regards itself as a 'boutique' hotel. Built in 1998, it's an attractive five-storey building with a central courtyard. Conveniently located about 200m from the entrance to the harbour, it's within easy walking distance to the shopping area. The architecture is French colonial style, and the interior decor and furniture are well designed.

Cream soft furnishings and pastels give the 122 rooms an airy feeling. They are well appointed with teak furniture and good quality fixtures and fittings. All rooms have Internet access.

An on-site ATM and smoke alarms are additional benefits. The hotel also offers some interesting local excursions.

The Harbour View is generally regarded as Haiphong's first international hotel, and would be a good choice for business people heading for the large commercial port and industrial area, or for visitors heading for Ha Long Bay via Cat Ba Island.
