La Résidence Hotel and Spa****
Our brief comments: 
La Residence is not far from Hue's railway station, on the bank of the Perfume River overlooking the Imperial Citadel on the opposite bank.
Originally the governor's residence, the central building is tastefully renovated in an attractive colonial architectural style, retaining many features from its 1930 construction. The restoration has been sensitively managed with Art Deco features, and the two additional wings complement the original structure.
 The lobby is compact, in a half moon shape. Most of the rooms are also on the small side, but elegant. All rooms have a private balcony or terrace, as well as all the facilities you would expect in a high-quality five-star boutique hotel.
Le Parfum is the hotel's main restaurant serving Vietnamese, Asian and international cuisines. Breakfast and dinner are served buffet style, but there's also a full à la carte menu.
 Le Gouverneur lobby bar provides cocktails, drinks and light snacks - the hotel's pool bar offers a similar range.
Le Spa has a complete range of Vietnamese and international standard health treatments.
Customer feedback on La Résidence is overwhelmingly positive, service standards are excellent and the location is hard to beat.
