Our brief comments:
The 198-room Furama has long been established as Vietnam's premier resort, and deservedly so. It's comprehensive range of facilities and amenities, large, luxurious rooms (they start at 40 sq. m.) and top-flight service are unparalleled.

The building is located on My Khe beach, very close to the section known as 'China Beach' by the American G.I.s who used it for rest and relaxation during the war. The accommodation is housed in low-rise clusters with wide terraces providing complete privacy and views of either the ocean or landscaped gardens and the swimming lagoon.

All rooms and suites have large balconies, polished timber floors, natural fabrics, cane furniture, plantation-style shutters and a spacious bathroom decorated with honey-colored marble.

The Indochine Cafe, the resort's main restaurant is large and airy. Rattan furniture, tropical banana trees, old colonial photographs and memorabilia enhance the French colonial theme. The menu offers an exotic medley of Vietnamese, Chinese, Malay, Thai, Indian and Indonesian cuisines as well as international favourites, all prepared and served in a manner befitting a luxury resort. A comprehensive wine list includes early wines and rare vintages.

The open view kitchens have tandoor ovens for freshly baked naan, meat and seafood specialities, and an open barbecue for grilling seafood to perfection.

The beach-side offers a Mediterranean menu of salads, Italian antipasto, appetizers, pastas, pizzas and Italian breads baked in wood-fired pizza ovens, with a selection of Italian wines and grappas.

The Wild Crab Restaurant serves Vietnamese seafood cuisine.

The Furama has received numerous international and domestic awards and trophies, and been voted the “Top Hotel” & “Best Resort” for four consecutive years by the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism.
