Victoria Beach Resort****
Our brief comments:
 Opened in 2001 as one of five Victoria hotels in Vietnam, the Victoria Hoi An Beach Resort is situated on the soft white sand of Cua Dai beach, 5 km from Hoi An, one side facing the river delta and the other side facing the sea. It's well built and has a Mediterranean feel to it. There is a large pool and attractive tropical gardens.
The 100 rooms are well proportioned and appointed. The floors and fittings are in rich coloured wood, with high-grade soft furnishings and comprehensive amenities. Deluxe Seaview and Beachfront rooms are decorated in Vietnamese, Japanese, and Old French styles in addition to the standard decor.
The L'Annam restaurant overlooks the sea and offers international, local and seafood specialties in indoor or al fresco dining. The Fai Fo restaurant alongside the pool serves snacks, light meals and drinks.
There is a wide range of activities available, some at additional cost. Prices can be high.
The resort had a few teething troubles in its early days, but recent customer feedback has been positive. The consensus is that although it's one of the most expensive hotels in Hoi An, it offers good value.
