Thuy Duong 3 Hotel***

Our brief comments:
The three-storey Thuy Duong Hotel has 40 rooms in two categories, Standard and Superior. Floor area is slightly above average: room facilities, decor and furniture are adequate. Two pairs of rooms have connecting doors, presumably for family use.

The view at the rear of the property overlooks 'morning glory' fields. Others overlook the small garden area or the pool.

The central courtyard is virtually filled by a small swimming pool leaving little more than a walkway around its perimeter. To the right, it extends under the building to create a small lounging area with a few small palm trees in pots. Behind that is the hotel's boundary wall.

Hotel facilities are limited. The single restaurant is pleasant, with a simple menu, mostly Vietnamese dishes. Future plans include a larger restaurant and terrace, and massage facilities.

The Thuy Duong is a medium-sized hotel on a small site. Consequently, it feels a bit cramped. However, it compensates with comfortable rooms, friendly staff and its location in the Ancient Town.
