Hoi An Riverside Resort****
Our brief comments:
The Hoi An Riverside resort is part of the 'Khaisilk' corporation, well-regarded for high quality restaurants and fashion outlets.
The rooms are in small villa-style buildings scattered around the 9ha of lush tropical gardens and landscaped terraces. The Song Do river runs alongside the property.
The Ancient Town is about 3km away, and Cua Dai Beach is about 1km in the opposite direction. An irregular shuttle bus is available.
Vietnamese and Japanese -style Standard rooms are available, the latter being slightly more expensive. All rooms are above average size, well proportioned and tastefully decorated. Furnishings and bed linen are good quality, and there are several 'personal touches'.
The restaurant and bar are part of the reception building at the front of the property, and thus susceptible to traffic noise from the busy road. The restaurant is attractive and open-sided, with a menu combining a good range of Vietnamese and international cuisines.
The pool area is particularly pleasing to the eye - a lawned area leads from there to an open stretch of riverbank.
Customer feedback has been positive.
