Hoi An Pacific Hotel***

Our brief comments:
The newly-opened Pacific Hotel is less than a kilometre from the Ancient Town, and about four kilometres to Cua Dai Beach. It's a six-storey standard block and balcony building with 81 rooms overlooking a large swimming pool.

As the tallest building in Hoi An, it has an uninterrupted view of the old town and, in the other direction, across the paddy fields to the Marble Mountains from its roof-top 'Sky Bar'.

Rooms are a good size with good furniture and fittings with carpeted floors. Colour schemes are rather vibrant. Superior and Deluxe categories have the standard facilities, whereas suites are substantially larger with several 'extras'. Four rooms are set up with Internet access.

The main restaurant combines Asian and international cuisines, and offers local specialties.

Recent developments include a 'craft village' - several small shops where weavers and artisans work on traditional products to be sold as souvenirs.
