Our brief comments:
The recently-opened Dong An is situated a few minutes stroll from Cua Dai Beach on the opposite side of the road, and about 5km from Hoi An.

It's built as three three-storey villa-style accommodation blocks enclosing a large central area. A fourth block at the rear is broken to allow access to the De Vong River that runs alongside the back of the property.

The 81 rooms are well equipped with good quality furnishings and facilities, and are tastefully decorated. Terra cotta tiled floors, high ceilings and sliding rectangular shutters in dark wood give a sort of 'plantation house' feel. The Deluxe rooms are larger than usual - those on the rear ground floor overlooking the river are particularly attractive.

The garden and pool area is a pleasant place to lounge, swim and sunbathe. The restaurant is spacious and airy, with a balanced Asian and international menu. The wine list offers a reasonable selection at sensible prices

The Dong An is a comfortable, well-run hotel, conveniently situated for a beach holiday, and offers good value for money.
